Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026. This explains what information this site collects, why, and what your rights are.
Who this is
This site, builtbyclare.com, is owned and run by Clare Langley (“I”, “me”). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email hello@builtbyclare.com.
What I collect
If you get in touch by email or submit the Project Planner, I’ll receive whatever you send me — typically your name, email address, business details and the information needed to understand your enquiry. I use this only to review and respond to your request and, if we work together, to deliver the project.
The project planner saves unfinished answers in your browser’s local storage so you can continue on the same device. Those answers remain on your device unless you choose to send the outline by email, download it, reset the planner, or clear your browser data.
If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics collects limited usage information such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and browser or device details. It is used to understand and improve the website, not for advertising. Analytics does not load if you decline.
Cookies
This site uses essential local browser storage for privacy preferences and unfinished Planner answers. Optional Google Analytics cookies are used only after consent. See the Cookie Policy for details and removal instructions.
Why I use it
To take the steps you request before a possible contract, including reviewing your requirements, preparing a response and discussing a potential project, and to deliver agreed projects. I don’t sell personal data or use project enquiries as marketing consent.
Where Planner information is processed
Completed Planner submissions are securely processed and stored using Hostinger’s hosting, database and email services. Submission notifications are sent to hello@builtbyclare.com.
How long I keep it
Planner enquiries that do not become client projects are kept for up to three months from submission and are then securely deleted. If we work together, only the information needed for the active client relationship moves into the separate client and project record schedule.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see the data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it’s used, or ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@builtbyclare.com and I’ll sort it. If you’re not satisfied with my response, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
